Harnessing Africa’s capital for the betterment of an African society- Harnessing Africa’s capital: human, natural and financial, for the betterment of an African society in a fair, transparent and well-regulated US$ 30 trillion free market economy that is inclusive and enables all Africans to benefit from responsible regenerative resource use and management to:
- Build over a million homes in regenerative and liveable cities that reflect the values and aspirations of its inhabitants and promotes integration of nature, culture and technology.
- Cultivate innovation, creativity and collaboration among all tasked with designing, planning and building local empowered communities.
- Embed community values and principles into the fabric of each new city, promoting compassion and integration of different traditions and practices.
- Promote social and economic inclusion that fosters a culture of diversity, equity and justice for everyone to have the opportunity to thrive and to act for the common good.
- Nurture a deep connection between the city and the natural environment to promote sustainable and regenerative practices that preserve and enhance the ecological systems of the planet.
- Establish a new paradigm for urban development that puts human wellbeing and higher values at the center of the design and governance of cities, and that inspires and empowers people to live fulfilled and meaningful lives.

Executives

Tahir Fayker, also Chairperson of the regenerative development company and co-founder of AFRICA123 and Regen Africa, is responsible for business partnerships. He contributes a wealth of specialized financial knowledge and concepts developed by SmartBond Capital, a capital raising and investment facilitation company which he co-founded 22 years ago.

Shadley is an experienced, professional, senior executive with a proven track record in the Corporate FMCG industry. He has worked in various positions all over South Africa at South African Breweries He attained a B.Sc. degree and an MBA from USB (University of Stellenbosch Business School).

Shadley also attained a Higher Diploma in Education (HDE) and is a qualified educator. Whilst employed at SAB, he helped adjudicate the Kick-start candidates which formed part of the SAB’s Enterprise Development Program. Shadley is currently a Management Consultant and has consulted to SAB in Africa which entailed re-engineering their processes. He also has answered his inner calling of teaching and currently volunteers as a mentor to students at TSIBA (Tertiary School in Business Administration) which is a non-profit Business school.

Michael is a senior attorney who graduated from the University of Cape Town with a BA LLB degree in 1994 and commenced articles of clerkship in 1995. He progressed to a partner in 1998, and took over the firm, which evolved into Dixon Attorneys Inc in 1999. The firm brings a wealth of experience spanning 23 years, and Michael has 27 years post- qualification experience in law. The firm is based in the V&A Waterfront, Cape Town.

Over the years he has engaged in the negotiating and drafting of various commercial contracts and has been instructed to litigate disputes relating to the Companies Act, liquidations, sequestrations, contractual disputes, and disputes between partners, shareholders and directors. He further represents a number of international based companies where he advises on risk and corporate governance and civil and commercial disputes and litigation.

Gita integrates the disciplines of Urban Design, Planning and Environmental Management, Architecture and Landscape Design. ARG DESIGN has been the recipient of many Architecture and Planning awards.
She has convened conversations between experts from diverse disciplines and engaged in action research and design in India, South Africa, and African countries, that have informed settlement design at many scales. This led her to co-author the 1st Edition. of “2 Billion Strong” in 2012, defining six key pillars that underpin modern African City-Design.

Ms Mandisa Booi is a highly accomplished and experienced entrepreneur and development banker executive. She is the CEO and Founder of Africa Tade and Investment Council (ATIC). Her organization, ATIC, has been strategically positioned as a unifying force that bridges the gap between various trade and investment entities operating within Africa’s economic regions.

It serves as a cohesive collective dedicated to advancing advocacy, promoting economic diversification, and advocating for inclusion, all in alignment with the overarching goal of supporting the realization of a unified African market. This ambitious vision seeks to position Africa as the world’s largest free trade area.
Her extensive experience in Africa’s economic regions, gained through her roles within African Union organs such as NEPAD and APRM, as well as her contributions to organizations like DFID and DBSA, has ignited her profound passion for fostering economic development throughout the African continent. Her mission is to challenge the prevailing narrative that suggests Africa and Africans lack the capacity to pave their own path to prosperity.
She is actively chairing the Trade and Investment working group of the BRICS Women’s Business Alliance (South Africa chapter). She is also Co-Chair of the AFRICA123 Advisory Board. Africa123 is a private initiative to develop new Regenerative SMARTER Build (RSB) cities to address the needs of a rapidly urbanizing Africa.
As part of expanding her territory, she is operating her two companies in both South Africa and the DRC – Noy Air Cargo and Quench Africa.

Fabio’s career spans over 20 years in the industry, across both the government and private sectors of the green economy. Fabio’s entrepreneurial drive to innovate and influence has resulted in multiple industry firsts and awards.

Fabio is an Accredited Professional with the GBCSA (across all sectors and tools), a Certified Environmental Scientist, served on the South Africa Environmental Industry Body, that being the Western Cape Committee Branch of the South African Affiliate of the International Association for Impact Assessment (IAIAsa), and sat on the National Executive Committee (NEC) of IAIAsa, is a founding member of the Environmental Assessment Practitioner’s Association of South Africa (EAPASA), and is a Certified Carbon Footprint Analyst and Energy Efficiency Auditor.
Fabio is also qualified and experienced as an accredited professional (AP) across all of the available certification tools offered with the Green Building Council of South Africa (GBCSA) and is a Faculty Member and Project Assessor for the GBCSA, as well as being a Certified Assessor registered as a member of the Carbon Protocol of South Africa.
He also focuses his skills and experience on making a bigger impact across Africa, helping collaborative development teams to create future-proofed human settlements and societies through integrating the UN SDG 2030 Goals and regenerative design into the programme thread.

Through a weekly radio digest dubbed “Higher Heights Dimension’ in Kumasi Ghana, where he is based, lives are divinely impacted and positively transformed.
Dr Ben Christopher Don is the president and senior Minister of HHCE (Higher Heights Christian Embassy) and leads the ministry alongside his dynamically-gifted wife, Dr.Mary Christopher Don. The couple are blessed with three wonderful sons and a daughter.

Shabodien Roomanay, Headmaster of an Independent High School in Cape Town for many years, moved on to property development and construction as a career change. He was responsible for many flagship development opportunities which included an exclusive private estate in a select and sought after suburb and a landmark 20 storey mixed-use tower in the heart of a expanding Cape Town CBD. He project-managed the planning, design and construction of a library and archives to preserve centuries-old handwritten books, commissioned by then President Thabo Mbeki of South Africa, in Timbuktu in the West African nation of Mali.
